Sunset near the Mississippi River, there was so much flood still around that area, it was crazy!
This is where we had to stop before leaving Texas and this was my first experience and that place was so amazing! I couldn't believe it! I so want to go back!
Went with my SIL last week to help her move back to Indiana, it was quick and dirty, literally! We drove down Tuesday afternoon, got there Wednesday morning, got some rest and food, then started packing up the apartment that evening and all day Thursday, finished cleaning and packing on Thursday, then on Friday we took off for Indiana! Whew! Yes, we seriously packed up a WHOLE apartment in less than 24 hours and cleaned it spotless! Wow! I hate to brag, but it was amazing!! There was so much beauty along the drive, these pictures are just some of them that we saw. The funniest part about it was crossing over the Mississippi and then getting rained on by bugs, making us stop 3 times in less than an hour to clean off the windshield just so we could drive. The car we had going down there was a bit hard to drive for me, I couldn't quite get the hang of putting into gear, so yeah...I was pretty stupid, but it was fun! I got some great bonding time in with Linds, which we haven't done in like over 10 years! Ya know, like when we were single and in high school, so it was a good time, even though it was a bit rough on us 30 year olds physically! But there was some great music and conversation!
The Mississippi River.
More flooding.
The bugs raining on us.
The aftermath!
The Tastee House, it didn't look too tasty to us! It's feature was "Lalepenio"
Sunrise in Texas.
More Sunrise.
A cute little town in East Texas.
Coming up one of the many, many hills in this area, isn't the sunrise amazing?!
We stopped here for breakfast and it was one of the most amazing breakfasts that we both have had anywhere! Yummy! Waco, Texas is definitely bigger than what I had pictured!

Now this is what I call a port-a-pot!
This was one of the ranches that were on our way out of Texas, it was so neat!
They layer their roads crazy high!
On our way into Arkansas. This was just outside of our hotel, which was an amazing stay compared to the night before (yuck!) except for the idiot who pulled the fire alarm as a prank in the middle of the night! It was nuts!
