It's been a while since I've posted on Andy and what he's been up to. As you all know, he's been doing homeschool and it is going very well! He is almost to the point that he could possibly read basic reading books on his own and can sound out single and double syllable words (some bigger words he's done, too). He is writing pretty well too, it's so fun to see him catch on to things. He has some new things he likes to do and he does them all of the time, such as writing and illustrating his own books, drawing and art crafts, science, and playing video games. He has so many things he's into and I actually had him give me a list of things that he wanted to learn about. That list included ancient Egypt, Mexico, science experiments, and lots of other very fun stuff! He is really thriving through this. In January, cross our fingers, he starts k12.com through Hoosier Academies and will be doing an online virtual school. Right now we are on a wait list, which from what the woman described, is typical procedure in getting in and those who are new have to be wait listed until class enrollment starts. I hope it doesn't mean there is a chance they he won't be able to go. He has really taken on an even bigger roll in helping with Rhys and playing with him. He is the only one in the house that can make him laugh on cue. It is amazing how much they get along right now and how much they love each other. They are truly best friends. I love that Andy is able to have this time at home to bond more with Rhys.
