The Number Three

No, this post has nothing to do with another kid on the way, I'll just put that out there right away! I am posting some thoughts out loud today with the hopes that I'll have it in cyberspace forever and possibly will stay on track with this idea to make it happen. I was looking online last night out of curiosity about couch to triathlon programs just to see what they are like. As most of you know, a couple of years ago I tried the couch to 5k program for like a week and that was that, so I wanted to see what else was out there with some of the sports that I love to do (biking, swimming, and used to be running and one day will be again). I found a free plan that is 22 weeks long, or 154 days and it looks amazing. The first day of workout on the plan for week one is 100 yards of swimming: 50 for warm up, 50 for cool down, that's it. Then the next day is like 20 minutes walking, and then the next day is 2 miles on the bike. So, I know as far as the biking, I am past the 2 mile part, but it is nice to think about, and then I am definitely past only 20 minutes of walking, so it doesn't look like that bad of a plan. I started looking to see the types of triathlons that are in the area in about 154 days from now and the closest date is in mid July, which would give me about 100 more days onto the plan! I could totally be ready for this by then. I would love to do this. One of my goals is to eventually do at least a mini and this would be a great break in event. The event would only be sprint distance, so I think that means like 3 miles of running, under 1000 for swimming, and then the biking was a reasonable distance too, so I really think I could do it.
